The cervidil overnight wasn't so bad. Just annoying to have to have constant monitoring for 2 hours straight (from about 9-11pm). Then after that they just needed to get a good read (20 straight minutes) every hour or two. </p> <p>My water broke naturally by morning which kick started labor on its own but I did end up with some pit and an epi. We used a cervical softener, folley catheter, pitocin and I was pretty specific about how long. By LMP, this is my due date. By ovulation, it's Saturday. No dilation at all. No sign of mucus plug. However, I'm scheduled for induction Wednesday. Go in Tuesday night for meds to open cervix and hopefully jumpstart labor; if not, pitocin Wednesday morning. I'm guaranteed my doc will deliver me if I make it to induction, and that makes me happy.</p> <p>I asked her why we didn't just wait another week - is the baby especially large? She said that I've got "an 8 pounder, maybe a little more." Oh my. So, I'm good with having an induction date. If I don't go into labor on my own (which I am rooting for), I have a date certain, and that actually feels kind of good. </p>
