@Jedeve: I take this powdered absorbic acid http://www.amazon.com/Nutribiotic-Ascorbic-Acid-Powder-Ounce/dp/B0017UW5RS#customerReviews mixed in some pure grape juice twice a day (I even give to my oldest) when we feel under the weather or when we've been around someone sick. My Dad swears by it. I also diffuse Four Thieves essential oil, and dilute it in a carrier oil and rub on my girls feet. I recently started giving them these powdered probiotics http://www.amazon.com/Garden-Life-Probiotics-Kids-Grams/dp/B004H9O4VG and I take a probiotic from Costco daily. I'm trying my hardest to keep us all healthy this year since I'm solo. Good luck you You :)

Oh and I do everything that @Baby Boy Mom: suggested! Even coming home from the babysitter when someone is sick.

Get plenty of rest (if possible), hydrate, and destress. Definitely lots of handwashing/hand sanitizer, too!

Elderberry syrup and if you know someone who sells young living products, see if you can get some thieves oil samples and get advice on how to dilute for babies and for you. I would also wipe down everything with a wipe and antibacterial gel when I get on the plane! Read that tip from a seasoned traveler!

I'm so paranoid about air travel, but I feel like there's only so much you can do! Wiping down hard surfaces is a good start, I usually bring Lysol wipes in a plastic bag or those travel size packs of Wet Ones and wipe down the trays, armrests, seat belt buckles, etc. For you and your DH, try not to touch your faces, and just try as best you can to keep the kids hands out of their mouths/away from their faces. Hand sanitizer is always good for you and DH and your LO if he is old enough. I try and bring snacks that I can eat without using my hands, like granola bars where I can just peel the wrapper back, etc. For LO pouches would work. After getting off the plane, removing outer layers that touched the seats or changing clothes, and scrubbing hands really well.

Leading up to the flight you can try upping your Vit C intake, use Airborne, and I've heard good things about elderberry syrup (?) but never tried it myself...

For yourself, try not to touch your face. And for all of you an outfit change and shower as soon as you can. Oh and I also wash everything fabric that was on the plane.

No tips, but just wishing you good luck! If it helps at all, we flew with our LOs when they were 16 months and neither got sick! They were walking around the airport, touching everything too ... just sanitize as much as you can!!!

@jedeve: I know they are BS, but I swear by the Airborne products! It's just a super multi-v, but the combo is awesome and gentle on the tummy. I'd use that for a couple days leading up and day of.
Are you BF-ing? I've heard putting BM on a cotton swab and swabbing your LOs nose protects them.
And just being diligent about hand-washing and not touching germy things.

I read that the dirtiest part of the airplane is the seatback pocket...so I don't put anything directly in there. I do put my son's water bottle in the airsick bag and then put that in the pocket.

Also, turn off those vents above your head.

I know I know...it's inevitable, it's good for kids' immune systems, etc. But last time we travelled we all got really sick and it ruined the trip. We are getting on a plane tomorrow and I just really, really, really don't want the kids or us to catch colds. And lo2 is too young for a flu shot, so I am extra paranoid about that!

Basically our plan is to wipe down the hard surfaces with a surface wipe when we get on the plane, wipe down lo1's hands with a wipe before he eats, use hand sanitizer befor I feed lo2, avoid using the airplane bathroom if possible, wash everyone's hands as soon as we get off the flight, drink lots of water, use pacifier clips, keep them strapped in the stroller/carrier in the airports, karate chop anyone who tries to touch them.

What else can I do?? Any immune boosting foods I can ply everyone with? Essential oils? No shred of evidence needed...I just basically just want to feel better about traveling! I really, really don't want another ruined trip!
