It’s not luxurious but this graco is a great price in the red. I bought one for this coming baby (when it was a little more $ actually) because I love the snuglock base feature!

https://www.target.com/p/graco-174-snugride-snuglock-35-infant-car-seat/-/A-52184779

ETA it’s also pretty light as seats go, which I wanted since my kids tend to be big for age.

@Mrs. Turtle: yeah i spent pretty much all my money on anything that got my kids to sleep for the first year. I will happily eat ramen every night if it means my kids slept. :silly:

@Foodnerd81: Yeah, I think if she wasn't a good sleeper in it I wouldn't care, because she likes the sling too. But if she's sound asleep I can pretty much cart her around anywhere still without her waking up. And I feel like that might be worth quite a bit of money, even if it's only a couple more months.

@Mrs. Turtle: maybe something will come up for prime day! My infant seat expired the month after my second turned one, so it was pretty lucky. But yeah I actually forgot how helpful t is to be able to carry the little one around to activities.

@Sams Mom: Thanks. That might be enough to justify it. And really, even if baby N goes home, we realistically will probably use it again with another baby eventually.

@Foodnerd81: I have an extra convertible, and am tempted to just switch her to that, but yeah, right now with the two of them it is so nice to just be able to cart her around in the bucket when she's sleeping through all of our activities. I know that won't last long, but I'm not ready to give it up yet. I wish we had another 3 months on the chicco, as then I'd probably be ready to switch anyway due to weight.

@Mrs. Turtle: do you need it to be a bucket seat or could you get a convertible that you can use for years? I realize you might need the portability of the bucket though.

AlbeeBaby has 20% off Chicco (JUL20), if that helps justify the cost. I loved my keyfit and it seemed like my son liked it too.

I realized that our infant bucket is expiring next month! Eek! So I need to order one for baby. However, she's a big girl and I know that in 4-6 months I won't be wanting to lug her around anymore anyway, so I'd rather not spend a fortune. We have the Chicco keyfit, and I love it, but I hate to spend $200 on something I may not use after a few months. Are there cheaper ones that are nice enough? Seems like all of the cheaper ones I've used have had really minimal padding and cheap, plastic feeling fabric. Ideas?
