We will, but we will be turning LO1 around to FF when we put the infant seat in, but she's 3.5 already and close to outgrowing her seat RF. So she will move behind driver and LO2 will go behind passenger RF.

We are keeping our almost 3 year old RF behind the passenger seat. He's so used to getting in and out on his own now, and that means he's on the sidewalk side as well. DS#2 (due any day now!) will be in the infant seat behind the driver. Easier and quick in and out for now :) And I can actually see pretty well with the mirrors in our Odyssey, but even so, we live in a small town and don't go on too many long drives, so no big deal.

Nope, LO1 stayed on the passenger side since I wanted him on the sidewalk side so he doesn't run onto the street. The baby (LO2) was/is confined in the bucket seat so she can't run away :silly:

I've always been fine with not seeing baby.

@littleredhairedgrl: I can see him with the mirror. We angled it so the driver can see it in the rear view. Besides my daughter narrates everything he does.

We have our 2.5 yo behind the passenger seat and baby behind the driver. Daycare is on a busy street and I much prefer having the toddler next to the sidewalk. She can take as long as she will to load up and then I can just snap the baby into his spot very quickly when there's an opening in traffic.

@littleredhairedgrl: Doing a seatbelt install for the infant seat behind the driver will give you a little more room than the base will if you need it.

I'm not due until March, but we just moved our daughter's RF brutal behind the passenger seat. So much easier to get her situated now than in the middle with my growing belly. Infant seat fits best behind the driver. Don't love that it'll be harder to see the baby, but maybe we can find a mirror that'll help with that issue.

@littleredhairedgrl: at least you should be able to put the infant seat behind the driver to compare how much room they each take up, without moving the complicated seat right away. I know that feeling of not wanting to move it- in our new car it's very easy but in the old one it was such a production!! I never actually have seen the adjuster since the diono just didn't fit in or old car at all. You could also try the middle seat if that's allowed in your car? Our infant seat for between the two front seats a little.

We moved my 2.5 yo DS behind the driver's seat for the same reason as @Foodnerd81 (we made the move a couple weeks ago so he didn't think he got booted from his spot when little sister arrives). I figure I'll be able to open the back passenger door and let DS climb in and get to his seat while I pop the infant seat in then go around to buckle DS, at least thats the plan

@Foodnerd81: yeah we have the angle adjuster but I kind of don't like using it. makes me nervous that it moves side to side a bit more with it in. I think we'll play around like you said and see.

@littleredhairedgrl: ah gotcha. My toddler will be almost 2.5 and is big enough to turn already, though we are waiting until closer to my due date. I guess I would play around and see which gives you more leg room for the driver. Isn't there an angle adjuster you can get for the diono that makes it take up less room?

@Foodnerd81: A is still too little to be ff, especially with the new car seat laws in NJ. We have the Diano for her and it also does take up a ton of room rf so it might not even work behind the driver's side when dh is driving.. hmm

We plan to move the toddler seat to ff behind the driver when LO2 arrives- but more for the space, DH sits with the seat pretty far back and doesn't have enough room with a rf seat. I suppose it will be a little easier to see the baby then too, but it's more that we need the legroom there.

lo2 is scheduled to arrive this Thursday   and I'm wondering if I should move A's car seat to the driver's side and put the infant seat on the passenger side so I can see him easier.

Did anyone do this? Is it necessary? (A's seat is also very complicated to move..) thoughts?
