Oh and my 19 month old still fits in it. We use it in our grandparents car, so it's gotten some good use! She's 23 lbs and is probably almost outgrown it height wise.

@AggieDaze: we got ours at buy buy baby and I think it was around $179. This was almost 2 years ago. Albeebaby might have them for a bit less. The pattern we wanted was. Bbb exclusive so we didn't really look anywhere else.

@AggieDaze: We had the basic model and really liked it. I'm all about carrying around less weight, I felt really secure with it doing both seat belt and LATCH installs, and it fit very well in our small car (2011 Nissan Versa).

@catomd00: thank you!! That makes me feel better just to get someone's personal opinion. Most people we know have the Chicco. I think Target seems to have them the cheapest - did you find a better price??

We are buying an infant car seat for LO2 (due in November) after borrowing a Chicco Keyfit for LO1. I think we've narrowed it down to either the Graco Snugride Click Connect 35 or the Graco Snugride Click Connect 35 LX...

Pros for the basic model (Graco Snugride Click Connect 35)
- It is 7.5 lbs (vs 9.75 lbs for the 35LX).
- It is around 50 dollars cheaper.

The cost isn't prohibitive either way, but I have to admit - I like the idea of carrying 2 less lbs; especially when I tend to have chunky children and will be wrangling a toddler as well.

Pros for the 35 LX model:
- It comes with a base with an integrated seatbelt lockoff (the basic model does not; I plan to use latch in my car and buy another lockoff base for my husband, but having the option to use lockoffs with two bases would be nice)
- New safety surround protection that looks more secure for younger infants
- No-rethread adjustable harness (not sure how big of an issue this is; the chicco I had was rethread and it was fine).

For back story on how we narrowed it to down, we went to Buy Buy Baby and tried the Graco Click Connect 35 (with a base with the lockoff), the Chicco Keyfit and the Britax B Safe 35; the graco was the only seat that we could easily get tightly installed into my husband's truck using seatbelt (his 2001 F250 does not have latch).

So, what would you do?
