The "magic" version has better shaped infant inserts inside and a much larger shade. We LOVE it. At 19 lbs, 27" and 14 mos he still fits in the seat great! It's deeper and longer than traditional seats so I love that. It fits into our ford fusion. It feels so sturdy and has the side air impact technology (no evidence that is actually safer but for some reason makes me feel better haha!) and it's a great color- so chic everyone comments on how our seat looks so "uppity". It is $160 I think but with the BRU trade in 25% coupon we paid just over $100 I think. Great value! I love it. The colors matched perfectly! At the time there were two types of adaptors for the City Mini and we just got the one that worked for our car seat.
