Our BBB did, no problems. No need for ID either. They just had a salesperson go with us.

We had the b-safe in our honda fit. It fit fine (granted, we are short so we don't mind the front seats moved up a bit).

@Foodnerd81: I just thought about that! That seems to make more sense. I doubt either our emergency contacts will be taking to baby so often a base will be necessary, and we can leave the carrier at daycare.

BBB does let you try. I think you have to leave ID with customer service or something.

As for the bases- your emergency contacts could just use the seatbelt to buckle the seat in without a base. I doubt they would be leaving the base installed anyway and installing the seat without a base is usually easier than installing the base itself (but having no the base installed is easier for in and out, which your contacts wouldn't have to worry about).

Yes, our BBB let us try seats in our car to see what fit. We had a Sebring and the Keyfit. It was tight but fine. All of the infant seats take up a fair amount of room, I think.

My husband drives a Scion xA and we have the Chicco Keyfit. We have to scoot the front seats forward so they don't touch the car seat, but it fits.

I feel like I e heard only certain stores allow you to try out seats to see what fits in your car. Anyone know if BBB does that?

Bonus question, I drive a corolla. I read reviews that suggested the key fit for the tiny back seat. DHs BFF has offered us all their extra bases (we need 3, one for dH and two for emergency contacts for daycare) to the britax b safe. Anyone have experience with that one in a small car?

Thanks!
