@misolee: I just had my third and got a Solly wrap for this baby and love it! I wish i’d had it for my other kids. So much easier and lighter than the Moby wrap. I also prefer it to our Bjorn and Ergo.

Thanks for all the recs.

@jennlin821 @marym while I would love the lillebaby. I already have ergo and I don’t want to spend the $$ esp bc this is my 3rd and def last.

@peachykeen. I was also looking at the sollh wrap too! Found one gently used on Facebook. Maybe I’ll try that 😁

I got a K'Tan for my second for this reason. It was okay, but I did not like it as much as my Ergo for a bigger baby, but better than the Ergo with the infant insert.

We use the baby ktan and the lillebaby. I like the ktan for shorter things but it's super easy to use and the lillebaby is great with lumbar support but I'm still not great at putting it on myself.

check out the Lillebaby!
https://www.amazon.com/SIX-Position-Ergonomic-Child-Carrier-LILLEbaby/dp/B00KC4VPNU/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1515695188&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=lillebaby%2Ball%2Bseasons%2Bbaby%2Bcarrier&th=1

I didn't get it until DD was 5 mo (got it for a plane trip), but I love it and wish I had gotten it much earlier!
I used a Ktan when she was ittybitty, but didn't love it.

The Lillebaby is awesome, due to family emergencies, I had to fly 6 times solo with her (5-7 months old) and she loved it.

What I I love about it:
-baby can face in or out
-easy to put on/off (designed to be done with one hand)
-great back support
-no newborn insert (I didn't use it so I can't quantify this, but if we have a 2nd, I'm glad there are no extra parts)

I did a lot of research, and I really feel that this one has/does everything you need in a carrier!

I have the nesting days carrier. I bought it with my second because my first had been so little that we couldn't use the Beco Gemini I had for quite awhile. Nesting Days was perfectly sized for that newborn stage but I preferred the Beco Gemini as she got bigger. I will say that my daughter didn't love either carrier I had and seemed much happier to be placed in her RNP (which obviously doesn't help if you are out and about) but I think that was more to do with her temperment than anything else. Also, one of the flaws with the nesting days product is that you buy one in your size but your size a week after birth and your size 8 weeks after birth can vary a lot. The one I bought was really snug at first but then fit great a few weeks later. Also, you don't have to wear the "skirt." It can be folded up to provide additional support.

Following! I'm in the same boat!

I had a Baby K'Tan for my first baby but he HATED it and I never used it. We used the Ergo a lot starting once he was about 3-4 months old, though.

I also used an Infantino cheapo carrier someone gave me which was okay, but not great. It seemed like my son didn't really like having his legs out when he was a newborn.

Ergo Adapt and Tula free-to-grow both don't require inserts. I didn't want to shell out $ for #2 that's probably our last, so I just got a Boba wrap. I am a wrap dummy but once I did figure it out, it was so easy and DD2 lived in that until she was big enough for the Ergo without insert!

I don't have experience with it...but as someone "hippy"...I don't like the idea of the "skirt" on Nesting days.

I want a carrier that I can use during maternity leave and didn't want to have to deal with an insert, so I registered for the lillebaby. I haven't gotten it yet so I can't recommend it or not, but thought I'd offer it as an option that is usable from the get go.

@misolee: I definitely recommend a ring sling. It’s so easy to pop them in and out. A little learning curve to get the tightening action down but once you get comfortable it’s great. It’s magic for my baby!

I'm not familiar with the Nesting Days carrier but had similar desires after using Ergos with our first. I bought a Solly for our 2nd who is currently 5 months old and it has been AMAZING for the early months. I was intimidated by the wrap carriers but the Solly is so easy - I wrap before leaving the house so I don't have to risk dragging the wrap on the ground and then can just slip baby in and out as needed while we are out. She fits in the Ergo pretty well these days but I can tell she's still cozier in the Solly.

This is my 3rd. We have the old ergo and the infant insert. Ergo was used for both my kids a lot when they were bigger. The actual infant insert, not so much. It always felt awkward to me. I’ll probably still use the ergo once she is big enough.

For this one, I’m looking for infant carrier with the following :

1. Not complicated or hard to use. I’m terrible at anything that has to wrap several times or having certain ties, etc.
I will have a very active two year old boy to chase after so I would have to put it on myself and it shouldn’t take more than couple of minutes.

2. I have a bad back so it has to be back friendly.
3. I’m short but big. So it can’t look like I’m swimming in it.

I’m intrigued by Nesting Days bc it looks so easy to put on. Anyone that was similar to me would like to share?
