@ladybee: NOSE FRIDA! Seriously. Get one, tonight. They work 10000X better than the aspirators. My LO is 13m but we've used baby vicks at a long younger age. I'm not sure what the baby package says as a recommended age but you could ask your pedi. My nurseline said that vicks up by his face/nose is actually a bad idea, but on feet under socks helps, for whatever reason.

@ladybee: by sinus wash do you mean saline? saline spray + frequent nose fridas helped with the post nasal drip for us. vicks on the feet over socks. sleeping with head elevated, like you said. humidifier on super high. extra nursing/fluids. elderberry tincture. We let him sleep on us during the worst nights! hang in there!

@redsmarties: I have a gut feeling he will need the same. Our doctor won't be back in till the 6th. If he still has it then I'm going back in. I'm that FTM who calls weekly because he's been sick or allergic to formula his whole little life.

After weeks of trying everything, we had to resort to antibiotics. It was the only thing that really broke it all up and got rid of it once and for all.

@ladybee: try a humidifier at nap time and night. That's what really helped break up R's bad cough a week ago. Good luck....I hope he feels better soon!

DS is 11 weeks old. He started daycare at 8 weeks and came down with a cold. He fought that off but has stayed congested, then my DH and I got it way worse. Now he has it again and it is accompanied by a cough. The coughing is keeping him up at night and scaring him. In the morning he is throwing up so I think his stomach is full of nasal drip. Our doctor was out yesterday so I took him to see another doctor that dismissed it as a prolonged cold. I googled and now I'm worried.

Is there anything I can do to help him be more comfortable? We are doing sinus washes, sitting in steaming shower, bed is elevated. I'm at a loss and no one is sleeping right now. :(

ETA: when we went in for our two month well check our doctor mentioned putting him on antibiotics just incase but they made him REALLY sick. I need an antibiotic to get over it myself.
