We had just done a vacation in FL where did a lot of driving around, and DS just screamed and screamed everywhere we went. I had to sit in the back with him the entire time and try to keep him calm and give him his paci. She did start getting heavy to carry around so I started leaving the infant seat in the car more and only taking it out when she had fallen asleep in the car, or when I wanted to have a place to put her at our destination. I wasn't in a big rush to switch since I had more options and she was happy. LO is 7 months old but a little peanut so I'm hoping to keep her in the infant carrier until after winter so I can easily carry her in and out of places. The weight isn't getting to me yet and I figure it's safer for me to carry her in the seat with ice/snow than it is a squirmy baby. What about you if you used an infant seat when did you switch? </p>
