Our kids just seemed uncomfortable in their buckets. We got Radians for both cars and love them. We have a Britax Marathon and a Safety 1st Guide 65 and like both of them. The main length that is important is where the head is in relation to the top of the shell, not leg length hanging over the bottom.</p> <p>We plan on getting P either a Radian or Foonf to last until the recommended 4 y/o rf minimum age. In the other car seat thread there was also mention of the Graco MySize for his high rf limit. There are alot of great seats with a 40" rf limit that will work for most kids too! Britax is not a highly recommended Convertible b/c it is generally outgrown rf around 2.5 or when the child is in a 3T shirt causing the need to buy ANOTHER convertible to make it to the recommended age. :/ Most seats are outgrown by height long before their weight limits are met so that is the number to look at!</p> <p>I suggest joining the Car Seats for the Little fb group to get help from the techs there on what seat to buy! We have the Chicco Keyfit 30, the height limit being 30". DD just had her check up and is 29.25"! I thought she was looking kind of funny with her toes hanging out. How old was your LO when you switched from infant to convertible? Any convertible recommendations? </p>
