@cmomma17: he's asleep on my chest now (heaven) but I'll be trying a cold compress when he wakes up! It looked much better when I changed him. Yesterday it was awful...and draining it was too :( I cried...

@babyjmama: oh no! Poor thing! Could you do a cold washcloth on the bite to reduce the inflammation and numb it a little? Other than that probably lots of mommy cuddles.

@HLK208: @MrsMccarthy: thanks mamas. We are currently on the couch watching Horton hears a who :) this kid NEVER snuggles! I don't care if I'm losing sleep, I can nap later ;)

@sorrycharlie: that's a really good idea! He doesn't use them for teething so I didn't even think of that!

Oh poor baby! Can you alternate Tylenol & Motrin? Maybe hold a frozen tether or ice to his pants over the area to numb it a little?

My poor sweet boy got a spider bite and we noticed Thursday night that it was pretty red and took him to the Dr on Friday morning. They gave us some antibotics to help fight the infection. He had a fever last night, none this morning but tonight when we changed his diaper (it's on his upper thigh/but cheek/diaper line) we noticed that it had come to a head. Poor buddy. We drained it (hell...) and once he calmed down he fell asleep on me. Dh just got in bed w/him in the spare bedroom bc he was whimpering. :( I know how had.it hurts bc 3 years ago I had one too.

Any advice on how to keep his pain managed? I hate to keep pumping him w/antibiotics and motrin. Seems like a lot for his system. :(
