I'm actually just getting ready to have a lap on July 16th. I had an HSG last week and my Dr is thinking (pretty sure!) that I have endo. What tips do you have on the lap? Mine is just out patient so I don't have to stay over night. I'm curious as to how long it will take to recover after.

Of course! If you have any other questions or anything else, feel free to ask! And good luck with everything. I hope that you don't run into problems once you do TTC.

That is really awesome! I have heard that too (I posted this over on WeddingBee too, well something similar to it). We still have to get FI tested and whatnot, before we move forward. But I think we're slowly starting to wrap our heads around everything. Thank you again for sharing. :)

Not at all! I have no problem talking about, and I actually did a blog on it, its linked in my profile :) We did clomid, hcg, and insemination. DH has low numbers, so getting me ovulating and releasing an egg was only half the battle! It was actually when we "took a break" from meds that we got pregnant! I think the stress and everything worked against us, and I have heard of a couple other people that stop the clomid for a month or 2 and get pregnant! It can mess with your CM, which will stop or slow the sperm. I think the continuous use of it got me to ovulate a couple times on my own!

Do you mind sharing what type of treatments you used? And thank you! We are in the midst of many "what if..." discussions right now. Haha.

It took us about 10 months, and we used fertility treatments during that time also. It seemed like so much longer! I hope everything works out perfect for you guys and you can conceive quickly when you do start to try!

Congratulations! I love hearing those stories. I did the surgery because of my pain, not necessarily because of babies, so it was a bit different.
Even post-op, my Dr said it'll probably take us at minimum a year and a half to get pg, but you never know. It could be only a handful of months. There is really no way of predicting! We are going to wait until March to begin actually TTC (not that we can try right now...doctor's orders that we wait 2-3 weeks and get cleared before sex) and we still need to go through other tests.
If you don't mind me asking, how long did it take you guys?

I have endo and PCOS, and that surgery was an option, but we chose not to. I also stopped ovulating, and DH doesn't have the best numbers, but we are pregnant now! It wasn't easy, and the emotional part was the hardest, but it is possible. I hope that by getting the surgery you can get pregnant quickly. My Dr told me that sometimes the surgery will make you extra fertile right after! Good luck and heal quick!

So earlier today I had a laparoscopic surgery. It was for diagnosing my chronic pelvic pain - my doc and I were 95% sure I had Endometriosis.

Quick run-down of my story: I've been having irregularity and pain for the past 2 years. Initially we thought PCOS, so I've had two u/s for that. The last one they said they didn't think I still have PCOS (poly cystic ovarian syndrome) and that it was Endo. So I scheduled a surgery with my Dr to confirm so we knew what to do from here.

Surgery went well, but I'm now referring to my ladyparts as the "Triple Whammy." I have Endometriosis (most of which they removed and/or burned off), I have PCOS (that they couldn't see using the u/s) and I had scar tissue (unknown). I'll find out more in my Post-Op. Luckily she doesn't think it will affect my fertility *too* much. She said it will most likely take a bit longer for us to conceive, but it in no way is impossible!

So has anyone had to have this surgery or are you scheduled for one? Have PCOS or Endo? I'm shocked that I'm this coherent, but it has been almost 12 hours and my anesthesia wore off a few hours ago. Now I'm just in manageable/tolerable pain, though I can't move around very easily.
