Before kids, I had a 35-day cycle. I got my period back when DD1 was 9.5 months old. I had another almost two months later, another roughly six weeks after that, and the next cycle I was pregnant again. 😱 </p> <p>This time around, I had a much better milk supply (and a much more voracious nurser, although I work full time and am still pump a lot), and I haven't had a period yet. I was still exclusively breast feeding my girl, but she had been sleeping through the night since maybe like 7 months old or 8. I was pumping at work and I noticed my pumping supply dipping a bit, and my girl nursed for shorter periods of time (like a few minutes total) and then period came back. Ugh. Some cycles have been 28 weeks but others are more like 40. Similar to you my cycle was 28 days prior but now it is all over. 28 days for the first one, 33 days, and now 30 days. Nursing definitely affected it. Those first two cycles I was still nursing (or pumping) a lot.
