@MaryM: Hmm, that sounds different from the compounded meds that I had if the shelf life was like a month. Might be worth asking about... ask them what they REALLY think, not what they have to tell you. :)

They expired in September...so not *that* long ago. Hrmmm...

I'm thinking I might ask the pharmacy, but also thinking they'll of course want my money for a new script.

@PurplePumps: I was getting a month supply at a time, so I wonder if the way it was packaged was different (so it would be good for at least that long).

Someone in another group said they couldn't use theirs past the expiration because it like, evaporated and there wasn't enough there.

Now I'm really wondering what I'll see when I look at them tonight!

The compounded meds only had a 9 day shelf life once I received it I believed. It sucks that it's so expensive, but I wouldn't use it... there's no really knowing what happens to it and if it's makeup changes when it sits for that long past expiration.

I'm wondering if anyone here has experience with compounded hormones?

before and during my last pregnancy, my doctor had me on HCG because of low E and P (before) and RPL (during).

I have some leftover pre-filled syringes in the fridge, but I'm sure they're "expired" (I think I got them in July)

But they're also expensive! Has anyone asked their doctors/had experience with injectible drugs, expiration dates, and what the expiration dates really mean?

I mean, if it at all looks odd I obviously won't use it.

We're not TTC yet, we're just trying to normalize my cycles. So even if it's a "strength" issue, I don't think that would matter as much. But I don't want to inject myself with something that will obviously harm me.
