I think Ballard and Wallingford would be fun to explore after you’ve checked out Pike Place.

So I've never been to either place, but my brother is a performer at Keys on Main in Seattle, which is a dueling piano bar. He's very good at what he does, and he tells me the place is usually packed and rocking. Depending on your girls group, it might be something silly and fun to try!

@Mrs D: I live in wine country- wall me for really specific recommendations if you choose to come here. McMinnville is a great day trip. Breweries wineries and food.

As far as Art/Culture- the Japanese Gardens are world famous, the Art Museum is very good, the Chinese Garden is a faster visit but still wonderful. Tom McCall waterfront park is a great walk. There’s lots of hiking.

IMO- Portland is more hipster while Seattle is more cosmopolitan. Seattle feels very clean and glamorous in comparison when I’m up there. No dig at all for Portland. It’s just hard to compare the two.

If you go to Seattle, you have to go to the Chihuly Garden and Glass museum.'

If you go to Portland, spend at least a day in the Willamette Valley wine tasting.

@youboots: Ohhh! Thank you! So one girls remarks when we discussed Portland was "all I know is food and beer there...what else would we do?"...

I mean, I'm good with food and beer - but she apparently needs more. Can you enlighten me on what you can do somewhat sightsee-ing wise in portland?

I’m from Portland so let me know if you change cities.

As far as Seattle goes- For an AM activity I love wandering through Pikes Place market and grazing- the crumpet shop, French bakery and Metzer Maps are favorite stops near the market.

Sell your sole is the most amazing high end retail shop I have ever been to.

Visiting the glass museum has been on my list for awhile.

Since you lovely Bee's never fail me...I'm reaching out again!

My girlfriends and I are planning a girls weekend and this year we are eyeing Seattle (still a chance we'll do Portland).

Would love your input on neighborhoods to stay, things to see/do, places to eat!

Likely 4-6 ladies, mid 30's moms, more of the craft beer, eclectic shop, food truckin, chill type! Though we do like us a good spa!

Thanks!!!
