Ugh it's the worst! I found there wasn't much I could do to get round it, my dr prescribed Ativan when I was having huge problems getting to sleep in my first pregnancy. I'd take it every few nights to get a good rest in when my insomnia was bad. I have never been a good sleeper though.

Hope it improves ... Try and rest when you can otherwise!

I haven't found anything to help mine (without meds). I was up at 130 the other day and decided at 330 to just have some cereal and lay on the couch :P

I had it really bad with my first pregnancy, and it sort of worked itself out. This time around it is more that I get up early and can't go back to sleep, especially when I get 6+ hours in a row (aka this morning).

My dr told me Benadryl was okay, so if I have a few rough nights in a row il take one and finally rest

I was up early too! Its the pits. My dr had unisom(?) On my list of approved meds for sleep. Otherwise your body should work it out on its own. Maybe more pillow support. Last time I had problem I added an extra pillow & it helped a lot!

I read a ton about breastfeeding, went on Wikipedia tangents, and stalked Hellobee! It seems like some weird nature's way of preparing you for late night/early morning feedings. (It's 3 am here!)

I never found a remedy for pregnancy insomnia. I played games on my iPad once and got up extra early most days to do chores and keep the dog company. Hope you find a remedy that works for you!

For the third day in a row I'm up at four and can't get back to sleep. I feel tired and just want to go back to bed. This morning I decided to stop waking DH up with my tossing and turning and have gotten a couple of hours of work in. Yay?!?

Des anyone have any remedies for pregnancy insomnia? I normally can sleep for 8-10 hours with no issues. I <3 sleep. If you had pregnancy insomnia and talked with your dr, what did you dr say? My next appointment isn't for a couple of weeks.
