I was using my instant pot to make something, and also had the slow cooker to make creamed corn. I keep it in the basement, so it's out of the way. I put it in my garage for a few months (actually 3. I owned THREE.) to see if I needed them before giving them away. I admit I still have 1 of the 3, but haven't used it in a long time. I liked the weaning approach because the IP does have a learning curve and if there was a day I really wanted a CrockPot recipe and didn't want to deal with figuring out how to adapt it for the IP, I could use it. But I learned prettttty fast to use the IP for most things. I do keep a crockpot mostly for warming/serving uses for large get togethers - I think it holds things like dips and soups and chilis better on the low setting than an IP would. </p> <p>Long story short, just stash it somewhere for a few months and if you don't use it, give it away!
