@bluestriped bee: Thanks!

Uncanny timing - bringing this thread up again - as we are now TTC for #2. We've decided to go natural for a while and think about using our frosties sometime next year if nothing happens by then.

Still wondering what people's experiences with insurance was the second time around. How much testing?

@ineebee: It appears the thread has been moved to 'Infertility support.'

Yeah, I was just going to comment that secondary infertility is for people who did not have trouble TTC their first but did with their second child.

There should be a word for people who had infertility for all of their TTC journey. Maybe 'subsequent infertility'?

@KT326: Thanks! This topic is on the wrong board then, I guess! Oops. And I'm glad to hear your experience. We did IVF a year and a half ago, and by the time we're ready for our second, it might be a little over two years. Good luck with your treatments and I hope it goes by quickly!

If you had to do IVF for the first baby you are still considered infertile. Secondary infertility is when you didn't need any help conceiving the first baby but need help with conceiving the next baby.

My insurance now doesn't cover anything related to infertility but my old insurance I would have been able to just go back to my RE.

We are going to start treatments again this year and since its been so long I did have to redo all of my testing (it's been over 4 years).

We have our beautiful IVF baby, and are thinking about a second. We're NTNP now and are thinking we'll probably end up having to use one of our four frosties in the next year or so. But I'm wondering what people's experiences with insurance were for FET for secondary infertility.

For example, did you have to show that you were trying to conceive for a certain amount of time again? Did you have to get blood tests to see if you still have an IF diagnosis? Or any other experiences to share! I know everyone's experiences were probably different, but I'm curious what it looked like for HBers.
