I would also go with plan A.
Is there an option for one of you to put your kids on their policy and the other to sign up as an individual instead of double covering everyone? That should save you some money on the premiums.

The deductible on plan B is HIGH. I'd go with plan A.

Thanks guys! I was thinking A was the better choice, too.

Even with the higher premiums, you still come out ahead with plan A if you plan on using it. if you don't think you'll use it this year, you coild always go with B then switch it up to A at open enrollment . But, given the relatively minor difference in premiums, $200 pretax wont hurt that much in your check, I'd go with A.

My husband & I just got new jobs. They are in a new county & health benefits they offer are different from what we have now. Basically we have narrowed it down to 2 plans & the main difference is the deductible. We don't have any major health issues but do plan on having 1-2 more kids in 2+ years. Any suggestions are helpful!!

Plan A:
$500/$1000 deductible
$2000/$4000 OOP max
$30 co-pay
20% co-insurance

Plan B:
$3500/$7000 deductible
$6000/$12000 OOP max
$40 co pay
20% co-insurance

****Neither of us can deny insurance, so we will be double covered, so not sure how that affects our deductible, if at all?? The difference in premiums is $200/month (10 months\year). Help please!!!
