I saw some stuff on fb and the news but that's about it! Was in an all-women office at work and only one person happened to be on vacation, everyone else worked, and I don't think anyone was wearing red. The only person who said anything was a guy cashier at the gas station! Such party poopers.

I didn't wear red (don't think I have any in my 38 week pregnant wardrobe anyway) and I didn't notice anyone else wearing red in the office. I spent the evening watching Netflix with my toddler while I sent my husband grocery shopping. Honestly, the most I saw of it was the Google Doodle and some posts on Facebook about cool women.

Well, it was my day off anyways, but we wore red and had plans to go to trader joes. I skipped trader joes, and when we met my sister for lunch, I asked her to find a woman owned business. It was delicious! :)

Massive mom fail...my kid spilled her breakfast on my red top...and I was not thinking when I swapped it for the first shirt I could see - which happened to be blue. #fail My girls wore red!

I didnt participate in any sort of strike and frankly dont really follow the reasoning/principals behind it.

I work at a nonprofit that supports women and girls, so I went to work. I wore a red dress, as did some of my coworkers.
The best part was that I attended the annual fundraiser lunch for our local Planned Parenthood yesterday -- it was their biggest and most successful event ever with over 1,600 people attending and raising over $1,000,000 (I live in the south in a state that keeps trying to defund and close PP - this is awesome!!) Most of the room was also dressed in red - it was really a powerful event. Oh, and I walked in and saw a whole table of moms I know from preschool which was a big surprise but made me so happy!

I wore a scarf with a bunch of red in it. There were a good amount of women in my office with red, but I also work in Philadelphia who is pretty vocal about this type of stuff. They did have a march in center city, but I didn't attend it. It was mentioned in a few meetings of mine, but I didn't see a single man with red on which disappointed me a bit.

I wore a dress with red in it (don't own any all red items), and I was wished a happy women's day by about 8-10 women at work (some I know, some random women in the hallways). Wasn't wished a happy women's day by any men :silly:

I was at work, I didn't wear red (because I don't own red) and I did buy lunch. I definitely support the cause but I was not able to participate. Several women at work wore various shades of red and some of the men did too.

I took the day off to care for my sick LO. I wore pink pajama bottoms all day. I bought groceries.

The morning started with a little Miika from Morning Joe reminding it was Women's International Day by wearing a red turtle neck. The evening news caught me up to speed how people celebrated/ protested.

I hadn't planned on taking off, but A got the flu, so I wound up at home, anyway. I bought a shirt from a women-owned business, read some books with strong female characters to A, and we listed to female singers all day long.

I'm not in Facebook and just a little from the people I follow on Instagram. I didn't see a single person in real life wearing red. And I don't even own any red clothes so. I thought about it a lot, and really reflected on what it means to be a woman especially in other countries. I know in America we're facing our own hardships but they are seemingly small in comparison to others and it's so important that we speak the value of all women every where. I donated to the Preemptive Love Coalition.

And then I had to explain to my husband that it, in fact, is not "women's rights day" but International Women's day and why those would be two different things. *face palm*

I'm in Canada and didn't take the day off. DW and I wore red and also dressed DS in red for daycare but I didn't see anyone wearing red or acknowledging the day anywhere in real life despite dealing with many people through my day. My female coworker wished me a happy women's day and my other female coworker was home sick with her son so her share of work fell to me because none of the men in my office are aware of what it takes to keep things running if someone is off :P but that's everyday ha

I mostly paid attention on social media through the day and didn't purchase anything. I was tempted to order in from a female owned business and relax but I was looking forward to the meal I planned to cook! It was mostly a regular day. However, I did find I was more aware of the impact of women not being present in everyday life and how our work and responsibilities trickle into literally everything, but that is regularly not acknowledged.

I didn't strike and I didn't notice if anyone in the office did because people are in the field a lot. About half the women in my office, including me, wore red. Several men were in red or pink also. DH borrowed a red shirt of mine for work which surprised me.

In the morning I saw an interesting post on my Facebook feed from a national women's group. It was a post about a woman running for congress. Coincidentally it's a woman I went to college with. She quit her dream job to run for congress so I felt a little bad that I didn't even take a day off.

I had to leave early in the afternoon to go to a dentist appointment. I told my boss I was leaving to go to the dentist but dropped that if I was staging a walk out at "equal pay time" I would also be leaving at that time. (It being the % of time in the day that correspond to the amount of money women earn relative to men). He seemed to take it in good humor.

I failed in terms of not buying things because I did actually go to the dentist and bought lunch. But I also bought lunch for a uniformed military woman so I hope that balances out cosmically.
