I hate to say it, but it's one less thing to worry about when you have to go to a funeral or a job interview. There are so many other things to be thinking about at those times, your clothes shouldn't need to be one of them. Go to a good department store and buy a basic black suit at the end of season sale. Get the jacket, pants and skirt. You'll be wearing them for years!!! It was a two step process that involved a personal interview and then a business seminar. It took forever! the guy giving the seminar included his life story lol</p> <p>I "passed" the initial interview, she really liked me and said I had the qualities they were looking for. The seminar was about the company and position.</p> <p>It's an interesting setup... I know nude stockings are outdated some, but it might help dress up the skirt. I don't think you need a suit for an interview but some nice quality pieces can go a long way. There is a huge range of okay items to wear to an interview, depending on who you ask (just look at all of the opinions on this thread!). But I feel like as a bottom line, no interviewer is ever going to hold it against you if you dress too conservatively. The same cannot be said for the other way around. So, I'd always air on dressing as conservative and professional as you can with what you have in your closet. You want only your best assets to shine, and it is silly for something like your outfit to possibly deter you from getting a position you want, if you are totally qualified in every other area. </p>
