We started with a sippy cup of water around 7 months, the first two weeks DS thought it was a game and would spit the water straight out, his tops got soaked! Now at 8 months he drinks the water but only has a couple of sips at each meal time.

We tried various sippy cups but only had luck with the ZoLi, which he took to right away. We also have good success with the Innobaby Sippin Smart which is similar to the ZoLi.

I started to introduce sippy cups around 6 months, but he never took to them. I even tried traditional straw cups with no success. The Zoil happened to be the perfect cup for him, and he has been sipping with straw cups ever since.

DD does not take a bottle so she gets all her breastmilk in a sippy. We use the NUK cup. She also drinks her water from the same cup.

We're working on a straw cup (Zoli) right now and I offer her water (while I'm holding it) in an open cup.

We introduced a straw zippy just before 6 months. We have a Zoli and Lollacup but at this point, prefer the Zoli.

We started at 6.5 months with a straw cup. We like the Zoli and the Playtex with the squeeze sides.

We have both a sippy cup (Tommee Tippee) and a straw cup (Lollacup). LO can use the straw cup on his own so we tend to use that one. We only give him water in it, at mealtime.

I haven't introduced one yet but after I got some feedback on a thread a week or two ago we're going to start with a straw cup and will probably offer water. Or milk. I'm not really sure yet, lol. I'm waiting until he's not teething to introduce it, though...I imagine all he'd do with it right now is chew on the straw.

I always stuck to milk/formula in a bottle, water in a cup. I think we introduced it around 9 or 10 months? We started with a straw cup.

I was wondering when and how everyone introduced a sippy cup to their LO. What kind of cup did you like best? Did you give them water or breast milk/formula in the cup?
