They mostly match what was planned, only I have one top tooth that's not *quite* as straight as the video, but I think that only me and my orthodontist would ever notice it. I had braces when I was younger ań didn't wear my retainers. So, I had Invisalign when I was about 26. The total was $6000ish and my insurance covered $2000 of that. My lower teeth were really messed up, and while it was kind if painful it wasn't bad. Took a little over a year I think. </p> <p>Honestly, I wish I had had my wisdom teeth out first. I got then out a few years later and my teeth shifted again, and I didn't wear my aligned because they hurt the wisdom tooth area. Are you positive you need to get your wisdom teeth out first? I had one dentist who did invisalign tell me I would, but then I never went through with it because I got laid off. When I found my orthodontist, she said she could do it without having them removed.</p> <p>I think I ended up paying around $3k for everything. My insurance was good and paid half, and I had about $1500 in a flexible savings account that went towards it. </p> <p>I absolutely would NOT do regular braces. I work in a professional environment and just could not do it. I'd have felt way too conspicuous. </p> <p>I'm not gonna lie though - the process was really painful for me. I have a really sensitive mouth, and for months it was kinda tortuous. The only real benefit to braces (since I've done both now) is that once braces are on, they're on. Your mouth gets used to them. And every so often when the ortho tightens them, it's uncomfortable for a bit and then you get used to it again. With invisalign you are changing your trays every 2 weeks. You get really used to one set, and then by the time you don't notice any pain, it's time to change them again. Usually the first week of each set was agony for me. Her teeth are beautiful.
