Oh and she asked me three times if I planned on breastfeeding AFTER I already told her I'm still breastfeeding my 14 month old, lol.

@Navy_Mommy: Congrats on #2! I don't think you're irrational. I think maybe it has to do with how much more you know this time around vs. the first time. Sorry about your appt... that's dumb that they didn't tell you that when you called to schedule it.

It was stupid. They just got my medical history (again...since I just delivered my son here 14 months ago) then tried to tell me I couldn't get a dating ultrasound until the end of July (I would be 12 weeks at least) but it takes at least a week to get the referral through to get an NT scan (which you have to get before you're 14 weeks) so i convinced her to schedule me at the beginning of July.

Im just annoyed. I had to get a sitter for my son just to go tell them things they already *should* know.

Yes! I am a fellow January momma too. I am so nervous too and my first appointment is in one week. I am about 9 1/2 weeks along and dying to hear a heartbeat or see the baby! I agree with sometimes feeling like it was "too easy". This is my 2nd and I can totally understand how you are feeling. I just keep praying for a healthy baby and trusting it will all be okay!

I felt that way all the way through my pregnancy! I kept waiting for something to go wrong, for the other shoe to drop. I hope you get to see your bean today, and am thinking of you today!

Good luck!

@Navy_Mommy: You know what I went through with my last pregnancy and I was able to have a perfectly healthy baby and I did well too.
You will be just fine and now that you know high BP is a possibility it can be managed sooner and quicker.
You are extremely healthy this time as well so I think all will be just fine. Relax and enjoy your blessing.

I was convinced that I wasn't even pregnant, even though I took two tests, both positive! I thought I was going to go into that ultrasound and they were going to tell me, "you're not pregnant, and you never were pregnant." But instead I went in and saw my little rice grain, heard a heart beat, and cried :)

Hoping you get good news too!

Hang in there, mama. I'm pulling for you. ( You already know that I was a bundle of nerves, so it would be entirely too hypocritical for me to tell you not to be nervous, lol).

I'm your fellow January momma, but I feel the same way!! Baby #1, pregnancy #1, got pregnant in 4 cycles. Seems like it's been too easy. I don't know how to not be nervous, but as I've reached 8 weeks this week I feel like it's gotten worse,so I totally understand!! All I can think is that I can't change whatever may or may not happen, and the odds are in our favor (with each passing week, the risk of miscarriage decreases). I'm still nervous and scared, but I guess it's my way of telling myself to stop dwelling on it? I dunno. But good luck today!

I'm still on pregnancy number 1 but I am constantly nervous that something is going to go wrong, before every single appointment.... I think it's pretty normal.

I bet you know people who just have the worst luck in the world - everything seems to happen to them. Then there are those people who just sail through life, seemingly without a hiccup. I don't think "luck" makes any attempt to be fair so I wouldn't worry that you are due a disaster. It just doesn't work like that.

Congratulations on baby number 2!! It's going to be awesome, I'm sure!!

I feel nervous often about my "luck" running out. When I feel nervous or start to worry, I try to force myself back into the present. I tell myself that luck (good and bad) is outside of my control. All I can do is be thankful and enjoy the moment I'm in. Try to focus on other things and not worry about the future.

Congratulations on the new pregnancy!

This morning is my first appointment with baby number two and I'm SO nervous. I'm afraid something will be wrong, and I'm pretty sure this is JUST an intake so I won't even get to have an US or anything. I was never this nervous during my last pregnancy.

I think I just feel TOO lucky. Both pregnancies we got pregnant our first try. I had really high blood pressure towards the end of my last pregnancy, but my son was perfectly healthy. I feel like my "luck" is gonna run out :'(

Anyone else feel like this?
