I think it's all about expectations--in this case, I thought that since it was listed as a charity auction, 100% of net proceeds would be donated. If it stated clearly that only a portion of net would be donated I wouldn't have a problem with that either. This goes for Kim and any other person who is running a fundraising effort. Other celebrities are much more transparent about their giving to charity. I'd love to see what the Kardashian tax returns look like. For me personally, I've given a fair amount this year to causes that are important to me. We have a comfortable life with both of us working and caring for LO. I don't know all the details here, but if she was auctioning stuff off and clearly said 10% of the sale price goes to charity-- fine.
