My 3 month old is able to move all around the crib I put her on one side at night and in the morning she is way on the other end and has flipped over. This was easier, since she would wake up anytime we tried to put her down in the pack and play. (we have been staying with in-laws and decided to wait to move ....any day now....before buying a crib) </p> <p>With a floor mattress, I can side lie-nurse with her and get into a sitting position and slowly lower her down onto the mattress without straining my back or jostling her too much--it's been great! </p> <p>Do I need to get a real crib? She's definitely moving around alot more these days, but thought that a bunch of cushioning around the mattress will suffice....no?<br /> Is there an alternative.....like one that sits on the floor? </p>
