I gave a practical Target card so my friend can always just use it on grocery or other home stuff if she wants. They have a TON of toys and stuff already so I seriously cant imagine her getting anymore. So is straight-up cash! Especially for a child just turning one - they don't even really care what's going on. I just gave my friend's daughter (who turned one) some money as a gift, and they really appreciated it. She has two older sisters so they have a ton of toys, books, art supplies, clothes and hair accessories. I emailed my friend for some ideas and she says her daughter really doesn't need anything.</p> <p>Would you ever give a gift card to a young LO? I know it isn't that fun but I figure she won't really know what is going on anyways. I was thinking of buying a gc to Amazon, Barnes &amp; Noble or Toy r Us. </p>
