It is a must have for me - now I don't know how I lived without one in the beginning... especially at night. If I don't wear a tighter nursing bra / tank to sleep, I'd wake up in pain due to engorgement (there is still no prediction if my LO would wake or not at night, or how many times he would wake). And if you don't wear a nursing bra, wouldn't you leak everywhere especially at night? I also find that my nipples are sore if I go sans a bra.

They are soooo convenient!!! It's so nice to just unsnap and feed!
I have 2 soft ones and a padded one for going out which I hate. I wish I bought more soft ones. I will next time I see a good deal.

Actually ever since my first, I've been living in nursing bras (but maybe that's because I was lazy to actually start shopping real bras again (after breastfeeding)

I found a brand new with tags one at a thrift store and grabbed it just before DD was born. I LOVE it. It's Gilligan and O'Malley from target, and it's so comfortable. I went to get another online and they only have one size:( I will have to check in store for my size. This specific one is really stretchy, full coverage, with a mesh lining underneath. When I wear a v-neck shirt it looks like a cami underneath. Once I'm able to leave the house, I can't imagine not having it!

I couldn't have gone without them. My boobs are too big to walk around braless ever, so even though I'm no longer nursing I still wearing my wireless nursing bras around the house, and when I was nursing and wanted to go out, I always wore underwire nursing bras. Same for going to work when I was pumping... one of the only times I wore a normal bra to work when I was still pumping, I ended up totally flashing the janitor when he unlocked my locked! and with the chair up against the door! door and found me shirtless.... if only I'd had a nursing bra, I could have just pulled down my shirt!

I'm with @mrs. wagon! I could not go without a bra or a nursing pads.

I like nursing tanks tops. I bought a Glamourmom nursing tank on consignment and I love it. They are pricey if you buy them new, but it's the only nursing tank I've found with enough support for my giant post-baby boobs.

I could never go braless here. It's too hot, so I wouldn't want to layer, and then my boobs would get all gross and sweaty.

I never found one that I liked. I tried 4 different brands too. I ended up just using my normal VS bra that I would pull down. I also have a target bra that unhooks in the front by Assets (cheaper spin off of spanx) and I think I'll probably use it for nursing since it's easy to hook through my shirt even.

No, but very inconvenient the few times I've worn a regular bra or sports bra. Feels like I'm whipping my boobs out all the time when I'm at home.

It is for me! I have to wear a bra, and if it's a normal one I have to remove it (and therefore my shirt?) to nurse. Which is frowned upon even in my very liberal community.

lol.... there's no way I could go without a bra, especially while nursing, because my boobs are too big and leak while nursing so I need something to hold the nursing pads in! And I don't think I could comfortably pull my boob out of a normal bra. So for me, nursing bras are definitely necessary. Usually it's not that much of an issue if you have to change your bra size while pregnant/nursing, since you'd have to invest in new bras anyway.

I just bought 3 sports nursing bras from Motherhood during their buy 2, get 1 free sales.

I didnt get to buy a nursing bra before LO arrived because I thought I would wait and see if I went up a size. Now I have no nursing bras so the few times I've gone out I went out without a bra! lol I wore several layers so I dont think anyone noticed. But I was wondering is a nursing bra a must have?
