My Best Friend just switched to my OB because she wants to do a VBA2C and my OB is willing to try as long as everything is normal and she goes into labor naturally. Her two sections were done under questionable conditions so that made her even more willing to try since they weren't crazy medically necessary.

I just had a VBAC ☺️ and I asked a lot of questions beforehand about it. Even after two csec, it is allowed if you're the right candidate as it is with just one csec. However, statistically speaking, if you had two csec then the chances of you becoming the right candidate for the third also decreases just based on your body. For example, if you fail to progress for both deliveries, there's a high chance the same will happen. It all depends.

My midwife/Doctor group is very vbac friendly and encouraged it but only one of the hospital they are associated with is team vbac. The non friendly hospital was closer and newer but I couldn't go to that one and had to make a drive to the other one

@regberadaisy: My cousin had VBA3C. It really depends on the town and the indication.... and I think you have to wait a little longer at home (early labor) if you want to be successful.

Yes it is "allowed", it is a matter of finding a care provider who is supportive. I've heard of many stories of successful VBA2Cs.

Very few providers here will take on a VBA2C. We are pretty limited on the number of OBs that will take on VBACs as well. I was able to have one and was very thankful to my OB.

My OB was really encouraging regarding a vbac. I'm curious about if I had two c/s prior, but I don't know the answer.

@avivoca: As someone who is planning on a vbac, this is fascinating. I cannot believe that some hospitals even have the right to disallow it!

I've heard of this plenty in my VBAC Facebook group. I am not looking at their guidelines, but I am almost positive the ACOG says they are fine if you are otherwise low risk.

I think it also depends on the reason for your VBACs, and how long it's been since the last one. I've only had one c section but it was because the baby was breech. My midwives told me I was an ideal candidate for a VBAC because it wasn't like my pelvis was too small, or my labour failed to progress, etc., so they can assume that my body will respond "normally" to labour, and because it has been more than 2 years since my last c section so allegedly the chance of a uterine rupture at the scar is only 0.5% higher than with somebody who hasn't had a C. I don't know if that increases/changes after a second, though.

My friend attempted it with her last child. She ended up having to have a repeat C because he wasn't responding well to the contractions. It's a matter of finding the right OB/Midwife who is comfortable with it and finding a hospital that will allow VBACs. Most hospitals in my state do not allow VBACs.

My OB is cool with it for the right candidate.
I'm not a candidate though. Having had a 10.75 lb baby ten days early by c-section makes me terrified that if have a 12.5lb baby at 42 weeks vaginally. No thank you.

It is definitely allowed (Google VBA2C for a bunch of stories). The hardest part would be finding an OB who is willing to do one. I know that my OB is open to them though!

ETA: Found a birth story of a triplet VBA2C done by my OB! http://atlantabirthcenter.org/2012/04/my-birth-story-michelles-triplet-vba2c/

This is a purely curiosity question.

I know a lot of ladies have problems finding an OB that will let you try for a vaginal delivery after a C Section. What about a vaginal delivery after TWO C sections? I feel like that would be next to impossible to find a OB that will sign off on that?

Again, I have no experience, just curious.
