Just watched first two episodes with DH last night (on our new Black Friday TV purchase!) and I cried so hard in the first episode because everyone was so mean to Bates! It almost made me not want to watch more because I thought they'd keep it up. I watched the first season via Netflix in one night. I suppose it helped that I was in the first trimester and really, really did not feel like leaving the apartment on a Saturday night. Now my DVR is set for season 2.</p> <p>I love how it's a good mix of high and low-brow.
