We used a pool noodle from the dollar store. If you check online and find an installation center (I was able to go to our local fire department for free) they will either install the seat and add any necessary items to make it safe or check your installation if it is already installed.

I am not a tech but I have had them suggest the thick, grippy shelf liner for small adjustments or as a layer of protection for the seat.

This is the type of stuff I am taking about: http://www.amazon.com/Duck-1100731-Non-Adhesive-12-Inch-20-Square-Feet/dp/B002AS9NAI/ref=lp_3744211_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1369050602&sr=1-1

@Kemma: I'll try that tomorrow. I've thought about it, becaus Wu know you can use a pool noodle to make it recline properly. I just didn't know if you could use it like this.

@MrsRoo: It leans to the side, so I don't know how to get it to sit well on a curved surface. But this does remind me to double check the recline!

The tech at BRU who inspected our seats suggested a rolled up towel or one of those foam pool noodles cut in half.

You could try levelling it out with a folded up towel, as long as the seat is well installed and secure you should be all good.

Our car allows us to use the LATCH in any of the three positions. We need to put LO on the passenger side, but with the shape of the seat her carseat leans a bit. Does anyone know how we can safely level it out?
