And I've been doing a heating pad on my ribs. But I'm really glad they got me in so quickly and that I'm on meds now. This is a nasty cold/infection, but I'm so glad that we caught it before it progressed. My bronchitis always comes on hard and fast, so at least we've avoided that (fingers crossed!)</p> <p>It turns out that being pregnant in the winter means you're pretty much going to be combatting all of it for months. I started deep coughing this morning, and I could feel it all the way down to my pelvis. I immediately called my OB, and they got me in and put me on antibiotics. I have to be very careful with bronchitis, because I have asthma that can get out of hand quickly.</p> <p>@lavender: yuck. Bruised ribs is no fun while not pregnant, never mind all that extra baby weight pressing against you, too! I hope you can find some relief. My ribs are so bruised it sometimes hurts to breathe and I can't catch my breath.</p> <p>Can your OB OK some cough medicine. Mine ahs turned into a allergy cough and the only thing that helps me is Robitussin DM + Benadryl at night. It all started when our nieces came to stay with us. The one had a bad cold + cough. DH got sick, then FIL, then MIL, then BIL then I got sick. I've had a brutal cough that has bruised my ribs. Now, we're doing what we can to prevent it from turning into bronchitis. And I got poor DH sick, so now we're both mostly useless :(</p> <p>Oh, well...guess the dishes can get done over the weekend...right? </p>
