I'm starving, yet still have some food aversions lingering at 12 weeks. A lot of smells still give me a wave of nausea, so it's some cruel joke that my stomach is always growling, too!

Yes! Incredibly hungry especially around 7-9 weeks. And eating helped the nausea. I'm 12 weeks now and finding I'm not quite as ravenous!

Your metabolism really ramps up at that point, which is why you're so hungry. Be sure to load up on healthy fats, too, and that will help keep you full.

First trimester I had to eat pretty much every hour (something small) to keep the nausea away, my doc said to increase my calories right away. I did a lot of healthy snacks: string cheese, almonds, ect. to tie me over. eat when hungry, just choose wisely and steer clear of junk, also adjust your normal meals to be a little less since you are getting more food through the day! baby is growing a lot in the beginning, they need the nutrition!

I'm 7 weeks pregnant and feel like I'm starving all the time. I didn't think I'd be this hungry all the time, especially since I read you don't need additional calories in the first trimester. But I am so hungry all the time. On the way home from work I pulled into a Which Wich to get a caprese sub as I knew a normal snack wouldn't hold me over 'til dinner. At this rate I feel like I'm going to weigh 500 pounds before I know it! :)
