@Ms.Mermaid: @bhbee: @Kemma: Thank you for replying!

@bhbee: We kept track this weekend and managed to get 20 ounces in him each day, but it was work! He really only drank in 2 ounce doses. Oy.

@Kemma: I'm EP now, so all bottles. I didn't intentionally set out to do that, but we fell into that pattern once I went back to work and he started at daycare. He was never a great nurser and started to get really fussy/frustrated whenever we tried and always ended up on the bottle. He was always a great night sleeper but woke up at 11 p.m. and 1 a.m. last night needing some soothing or wanting his paci (not asking for food) and then at 4:30 a.m., when he ate 2 oz. He was a bit fussy this morning (unusual), though not crying or anything major. I could only get 2 oz. in him around 7 a.m. before we had to leave for school. Sigh.

Is he nursing at all or just on the bottle? I’d keep an eye on it for another week because he may pick it up again, also how is he sleeping at night? I imagine that if he was truly hungry then he would be waking in the night to eat.

30 is on the high end so probably evening out - Kelly mom says 19-30 is normal and I think 24 is average. I wouldn’t worry since he sounds happy and healthy and they change all the time!

My kid eats like, 16-20 oz a day. We were told 20 was the minimum so I wouldn’t worry unless he’s not gaining weight.

Our 13 week old has dropped how much he’s eating and I’m curious if you think it’s cause for concern, early teething, or just my mom brain fretting over a phase. 😅 Two weeks ago, he was guzzling 5 oz bm per feeding, 30 oz/day. Last week he suddenly dropped to 20-22 oz/day. His daycare teachers were trying hard to get 10 oz in him while there. His hands are always in his mouth, chewing on them, making his teachers wonder about early teething. He takes the bottle right away when he’s hungry and pushes it away when he’s done, and is still his very happy self, he’s just dropped his ounces by so much! Plenty of wet diapers throughout the day, about 1 bowel movement a day. I’m curious what others’ experiences are and what you experienced mamas think!
