I kept thinking that I was forgetting to do something because I didn't feel sleep deprived or overwhelmed. LO is only four months old and so far it is easier in most ways than I expected, but harder in areas that surprise me. I didn't expect that at the end of the day I'd be touched out and just want to be alone for a little bit. I didn't expect how things just take longer than they used to. How leaving the house becomes an orchestrated event with timing and supplies. I was exhausted and wiped out during the newborn stage, and every day felt like it was getting harder for me. When my baby turned into a toddler I faced new challenges but it got easier. I think that the second time around I will be more relaxed because I will know more of what to expect and learn to cherish those first couple of months more.
