I found it to be a bit much at first because it was just one more thing to do. And then my daughter went to three meals very quickly and it felt big, for a while. Now I'm used to it and enjoy it. I've also used it as an excuse to totally revamp the way we eat, the way I cook, everything. It's been really positive for me, but it did prompt a big change in my life, food wise.

@mediagirl: yes, hopefully she will just gobble up everything you put in front of her right now. She can't throw all the food on the floor and all over your walls.

Plus, she is still too young to whine every time she sees you eating your meal. Once they start begging for your food, your peaceful meals go out the window, too.

@Andrea: I have some time to worry about being exhausted feeding a toddler, then? Haha! Crud. Either way, yes, I'm going to have to try harder. :)

It will take awhile before it gets tiring. She won't notice for now if you're eating something different.... The quantities they eat at that age are minuscule so it won't be hard!

If you're doing purees, that doesn't involve too much thought or heavy cooking. Plus, M isn't going to be as picky as a TODDLER yet. Oy, you've still got some time.

We're getting closer to when M will start getting solids. I'm starting to dread it. We aren't the best eaters in our house. Last night we had cereal for dinner. I know we can't feed M cereal but since we just got home from a trip, we had no good food in the house. I'm exhausted just thinking about the fact that we're going to have another mouth to feed (not just breastfeed) soon!

Is it as difficult or exhausting as I'm making it out to be?
