I've made it more enjoyable by listening to podcasts while I shop (honestly, I used to think it was rude to shop with headphones in, now I don't care and I keep it low enough to be able to hear/speak to someone if necessary) but it's not a break at all. It's a chore. The kids get all excited and crazy when I get home. Even taking my 15 month old with me isn't that bad. He's happy in the cart while I shop.
