I would never ask someone this. Especially if it was a coworker, I would only say something like "How are you doing?" with a concerned look on my face so it was implied I was asking about the baby as well. But at least that way you could answer any way you want - a short "Fine" then change of subject would mean that you didn't want to talk about it, or you could go into more detail. Either way at least you know I care.

I hope your baby boy comes home soon!!

I wonder if some of them are just looking for something to say because they want to show interest in order to show support but have no idea what to actually ask you.

It must be so annoying though. Not long now. xx

The question is annoying, but I think everyone is just as anxious as you are to have him home. Hope they realize they're coming off a lil hard on you and will back off!

I started a separate blog for lo so that I could direct people there before asking me questions. It really helped!

Ok that question is so wrong. I must admit I would probably ask if they've given you an idea of when he'll be home but asking if he is home is dumb. Like you said, she would obviously be on the list of people to call. I like what you told her.

I get this question from at least four people every. single. day. I don't understand why. I will tell everyone, shout from the freaking rooftops, when I get to bring my sweet baby boy home.

I kind of went off on MIL. I told her not to worry, that I promise I would tell her when he got home. I don't know why she thinks I wouldn't. I've sent her updates with tons of pictures every day. I'm not withholding information from her (though certainly not sharing every gory detail. I don't want her to ever have the image of an IV in his head.)
