Especially if it was a coworker, I would only say something like "How are you doing?" with a concerned look on my face so it was implied I was asking about the baby as well. But at least that way you could answer any way you want - a short "Fine" then change of subject would mean that you didn't want to talk about it, or you could go into more detail. I don't understand why. I will tell everyone, shout from the freaking rooftops, when I get to bring my sweet baby boy home. </p> <p>I kind of went off on MIL. I told her not to worry, that I promise I would tell her when he got home. I don't know why she thinks I wouldn't. I've sent her updates with tons of pictures every day. I'm not withholding information from her (though certainly not sharing every gory detail. I don't want her to ever have the image of an IV in his head.) </p>
