I live in SoCal and my SIL is about as crunchy as you can get so I'm never surprised by anything and I've seen all of it before.</p> <p>I try to be as healthy and environmentally conscious as I can easily do. I agree with some thoughts others have pointed out, on a board like this people are probably looking for support for decisions that aren't as common in your community (even just tiny things) and my feeling is that the users here are pretty well educated and researched so they naturally will be exposed to more thoughts on child rearing and will try lots of things out and see what sticks.
