The worst is when I walk into daycare and see my daughter giving me the "look" and her provider say "you need to tell your mommy what happened." She's been a storyteller lately + potty regression again so the combination is awful. She tells such elaborate lies to cover up the fact she had an accident.

That initial "can I talk to you for a minute" is the hardest part for me. But then once I hear what's going on I am usually fine. They tell me what happened and how they handled it and then I talk to them once at home

Nobody likes hearing negative things about their kid, but I think it's really good that your day care is open and honest with you about her behavior. Sometimes kids act totally differently at home than at school and if they don't tell you what's going on, you can't help to address it. Don't beat yourself up over it though, toddlers are crazy yo.

DD's preschool gives us little progress reports about potty, eating, naps and behavior. Usually it's pretty standard and consistent (ate her snacks, took a long nap, had a good day), but she's been going through a potty regression and then yesterday she also wasn't listening or sharing and being more aggressive with other kids. Luckily DH picked her up yesterday because I was already upset about the potty issue, so I don't think I would have dealt well with bad behavior too! They are always nice about it but I still feel bad about it.

How do you react to negative feedback from your kid's teachers?
