@littleredhairedgrl: Yea this isn't RLP that I am having, these are full on cramps. I'm thinking maybe its more a stomach ache/gas/bloat/etc.

@t.h.o.u.: i had cramps early in the first tri and then just started up suddenly again this past weekend (i'm 14 weeks) and are pretty strong, but i really think, from what i've read, that it's round ligament pain because it happens when i stand up after sitting or sit up after lying down or if i'm not hydrated enough. i wouldn't worry!

@runnerd: OMG the cramps have hit me bad today at 9weeks! I am sitting at my desk at work but can barely focus. Is it normal for cramps to come on suddenly like this?

I know you've already had some reassurance, but I just went back through my 1st trimester blog posts, and my uterine cramping and soreness started around 8 weeks and lasted until week 14. The OB I was seeing told me it was RLP, but I never thought they would feel like they did (like you were describing). Just the uterus growing so rapidly!

Also, how wonderful that you were able to hear the HB at 9.5 weeks. That's amazing!! Sounds like a healthy, strong baby.

I had massive AF-like cramps the entire first tri, probably up until 14-15 weeks. So painful. Totally normal. Don't worry unless you start spotting!

I had cramps and back pain around that time too. Probably just things stretching out. Now I have a happy and healthy infant.

It's probably just from your uterus stretching. I had cramps around weeks 10 and 12 but they turned out to be totally normal and everything was fine but if you really just need a piece of mind call you ob or visit the ER which I'm sure you don't need to do.

I also had mild to moderate cramping as my uterus grew and stretched the ligaments. Try not to let it worry you (I know how hard it is!) as it is probably normal.

@runnerd: I had mild/moderate cramping from the beginning up until about 15 weeks. Hang in there and try not to let the worry consume you -- distract yourself if you need to!
Also, congratulations!!!

I was not super crampy over all, but I have had random bouts of crampyness everywhere from the start until now (21 weeks). My doc told me cramps that are mild to moderate are very normal in the 2nd tri as the uterus stretches.

I'll be 11 weeks tomorrow, and I've been having mild to little worse than mild cramps the past two days, sometimes with slight backache. I had a lot of cramping in early first tri, but wasn't sure if this is normal at this point? Def don't think it's round ligament as it's more in center of uterus.

Also I had a fibroid so don't know if that could be cause?

I'm really letting it stress me our bc my OB appt was cancelled today so I won't see her until 12 weeks. We saw healthy HB at 9.5 weeks but I just can't stop worrying :/

Sorry sort of rambling!
