@mrskc: @autumnlove: exactly. Taking hot glue and closing off the hole so water never gets in.

@artbee: omg!!! I'm going to clean tonight with vinegar!

@SAHM0811: I should probably just invest on water safe toys as well.

It's probably possible, but difficult (I'd imagine) to get everything totally clean... That's why we just chucked 'em in the past. Now we just don't have squirters as toys. We have a Little Mermaid grotto thing with a little water slide and swing that keeps them super busy. Don't think they'll ever tire of that one. Also Skip Hop dunks... awesome. A bath book, too. Sometimes they'll bring in some Ikea toys from their play kitchen... or a tea set, haha.

We've also rotated through foam letters and numbers and bath crayons in the past.

I don't have an answer.... but I have a really gross story. We used the squirters for awhile. Lo loved when we would squirt air on her. So one day dh was squirting air on her face...... and a bunch of gray gunk came out. On her face. I wanted to puke. We dumped all of the squirters and bought her new bath toys the next day.

@autumnlove: I was wondering the same thing.

Hot glue tip? Like using hot glue to close off the opening so water can't get in?

I didn't hear about the hot glue tip till after all her toys had already gotten wet. What's a good way to clean bath toys and hopefully kill some of the mold that may be inside?
