How old is your LO? DS is in the process of getting two teeth in. The first thing I saw was a small white dot - almost blink-and-you'll-miss-it small. When I put my finger on his gum, I did feel something hard and sharp. He never had a nursing strike, but his latch did change a bit.

My Lo is 7.5 months and I've seen her with those white dots since 3 months and totally thought they were teeth. But a couple days ago I looked in her mouth and actually saw a hole! And I googled it and found this. http://www.oralanswers.com/2011/01/babys-gums-teething-tooth/

So I don't think those white dots r teeth. Not exactly sure what they are tho.

LO has acted like he is teething for a little bit now (chewing, drooling etc.) and this week had a short nursing strike (Wed.) Today I saw a white dot on his lower gums right where his right lower incisor would break through. It is a little bit sharp/hard, but only the size of the head of a pin. He won't let me in his mouth to investigate much so I can't tell what is going on...

I read that they can get calcium deposits but I don't know what these look like and can't find pictures of any online. I thought if it was a tooth, it would be a line, rather than a dot but I am not sure.

Any thoughts? Thanks!
