Thank you all! My drs office called and left me a voicemail before I had my lunchbreak. They want me to keep using opks and then do the progesterone test again. My dr thinks I may not have ovulated this cycle because of my early and heavy/painful period. They let me move my annual up a month to feb 10 to talk about the back pain as well. The fact that they called me back makes me feel a lot less crazy ;)

For the pain and your immediate issue, I would insist on an appointment with your doctor. For the TTC issues, if you feel that your concerns aren't being taken seriously, I would start looking for another OB or consider an RE. I hope you feel better!

Thank you ladies! Whenever I call and talk to the nurse she kind of makes me feel like I'm making a mountain out of mole hill, but then again she usually calls back after she talks to the doctor and tells me to come in, or go get a blood test or that I need to watch for something, so maybe I'm not crazy after all?

I will call in the morning and see how soon I can get an appointment. Of course, after they closed an hour ago, my period has gotten heavier, and probably TMI, but there is more clots.

I would Def call and get checked out for the pain. But I think that's completely separate from TTC.

I would just make an appointment now especially if you're in pain. If they figure it out now, you may not even have to go in by the 1 year mark (hopefully you'll have your BFP!)

We have been TTC for 8 months, which I realize isn't necessarily that long. I am 24 and DH is 25.

However, my periods have been somewhat irregular and it looks like I have a short LP. My dr. did order a progesterone check to be sure that I was ovulating around 5 months and I am.

The last two months is what has me most concerned. I have had pretty bad pain in my lower left back, like right next to my spine. At first, I thought it was because of the chiropractic work that I have been having done. However, looking at it now it is worse right before and during my period. This month's period, I'm on day 5, has been much heavier and more painful than normal. My pain was really bad last wed-friday, where for a good chunk of those days I couldn't walk upright. When I went to the chiropractor on Friday he said my spine looked the best it ever has. I have been taking a LOT of painkillers, more than normal, and still had to come home from work today on day 5. I called my obgyn and they said to call back by 4:30 if the bleeding gets worse, or tomorrow if it hasn't slowed down or if the pain gets worse. The bleeding has slowed down, and the cramps were better for a while, but have come back again and my back never really stopped hurting.

I had two dermoid ovarian cysts removed in 2010, one was larger than my surgeons fist. I had other symptoms, but the back pain was definitely there then.

I usually have my annual in March, I was thinking of waiting until May because then it would have been a year of TTC and I thought we could talk about next steps if I still wasn't pregnant. Is it time that I call in and just ask for an appointment? Should I just try and switch doctors?

ETA: thanks for making it to the end of my novel ;)
