(And before we start out clinical rotations). My son had his on October 5. Honestly since it takes a couple of weeks to take full effect, I didn't want to wait any longer. He says they are effective for about six months and he wants to make sure they are still protected in the spring. So I plan to go in the next few weeks and get it. I got into this with my kid's pediatrician mentioning that I saw an NPR article saying to wait as well as my internist said to wait. He said to not wait at all and get it. I just got it today because of schedules. Half of my family is vaccinated. Have you ever heard of this and whether it's true? When do your children usually get their flu vaccine? </p> <p>Obviously this is a question for those who do choose to vaccinate their children. :) </p>
