For the flight out (just me and my LO), there were a lot of empty seats on the plane so I ended up moving a few rows back and got an entire row for just myself and LO. On the way home we took a redeye. For some stupid reason they like to play a movie, serve drinks and snacks, and sell stuff when people are obviously wanting to sleep. Sitting in the bulkhead seat sucked because it was super bright (because of the tv) and our LO had trouble sleeping. I can't even move in a normal seats. My knees are jammed against the seat in front of me, and the person there--always someone short or a kid it seems--always puts their seat back so it's right in my face. It's awful. Bulkhead = always worth it. Traveling with a child, I'd imagine even more worth it. We got bulkhead seats once. Yes, the extra space was nice, but not worth that much money.
