E is a really light sleeper. Sometimes the sound of one of us peeing wakes her up - peeing, not flushing (we can't flush when she's asleep). We only have one toilet in the house so we have to risk it. The shower always wakes her so we can't shower at night. It sucks.

Somewhere in between. I swear DS has a sixth sense and can tell WHO is making the noise.

We had contractors renovating a bathroom on the other side of the wall to his bedroom. Hammers swinging. Things banging. Kid slept through the whole thing.

Mommy's home during nap time and walks past his door and the floor makes a tiny creak? Up like a bolt and calling for mom. W. T. H.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: hahaha! Perfect! Sometimes people really don't grasp it unless they experience it for themselves!

@.twist.: my mom has always critized me for not getting anything done while Chloe naps. I can explain until I'm blue in the face that a pin dropping wakes her up but whatever.

So I let Chloe sleep over and ohhh what do you know, it makes sense when my mother experiences it first hand! Guess who couldn't shower? Work? Clean the bathroom or kitchen?

I need a told ya so face ha ha ha.

He's a light sleeper. Which is terrible because his room/crib is right up against the wall of our master bathroom. The shower rattles when you turn it on and wakes him up and scares him. So, I have had to shower in the guest bathroom since he was born. ugh.

Light sleeper! He wakes up as soon as you shut the fan off in his room.

Once LO is out she's out, but it takes her a good 30 minutes to get into that uninterrupted sleep. Anytime before that 30 minutes we have to walk on pins and needles not to wake her up or it starts ALL over again.

LO is a pretty deep sleeper at night but light sleeper during the day for naps. But its funny - LO has selective hearing for certain sounds. He will sleep through anything in the white noise range (blow dryers, vacuums, leaf blowers, lawn mowers - even if its REALLY, REALLY LOUD), but if you touch the doorknob to our room during nap time, he will wake up. Even at night, if we open and close our bedroom door very softly, he will stir a little bit.

At night they are pretty heavy sleepers. They'll sleep through each other screaming! During naps, they will basically wake up if I even think about putting them down.

She definitely doesn't sleep as heavily as your Charlotte does but she's not a light sleeper. We drop things sometimes or go in her room occasionally & have never had issue, even with a creaky bedroom door.

Mae saying she's "checking for aliveness" made me think of this LOL

My kids couldn't be different. Chloe is SUCH a light sleeper. I could be downstairs, and tuck my hair behind my ear and Chloe would wake up screaming because I was too loud.

Charlotte, on the other hand, is dead to the world. Once she is fully asleep, Chloe can shriek next to her and Charlotte isn't bothered. She also doesn't move in her sleep which is kind of scary when she takes 5 hour naps. There have been times when I've poked her (OMG don't judge me) and she doesn't flinch, so I've had to put my finger under her nose to make sure I feel her breathing. Kid is a vampire.

I sleep like Chloe. My brother is just like Charlotte. I used to have to help my mom flip his mattresses in high school to wake him up.

What about your kids?
