They shouldn't be sheer or shiny-- their online sizing actually says if it shiny, it's too tight so go up one size. I totally agree about following the washing instructions. Obviously I got to collect a TON of their clothes and I still wear them all. Does it hold up? I run, do yoga, barre, etc. I want the wunder unders so I can wear them as leggings too. I'm lazy like that. </p>
