I agree with Andrea. Even if your doctor is great... what's the point if you can't get in to see him? One of the perks of our doctor is they are there 365 days a year and you can get in to see them every single day, any day you want. Their hours aren't as long on weekends and holidays, but if there's an emergency I know I don't have to worry.

Sorry I don't have any advice for you, hope she's feeling better after her big toot!

@Rubies: Ok, definitely check out her next poop. If any issues, I would go to the walk-in clinic.

@Rubies: yes I think you should change peds too! you need to be able to speak with your doctor regarding these issues...

Her last poop was this morning (she always has a huge crazy poopy diaper between 9-11am, like clockwork)...She usually only has one giant poop and maybe 1-2 small poos per day.

And @Andrea: I know, right? But our ped is WONDERFUL. He's the most gentle, thorough, kind, and loving doctor I've met. If it weren't for him, I'd be outta there in a second. I should look around though...

Ah that's wonderful!

Is she wetting a lot of diapers? Also, when was her last bowel movement?

@Rubies: Oh. Can I recommend you to change peds? Sorry, you are probably stressed and don't want to hear that but I don't think it is acceptable not to be able to talk to a doctor right away or at least same day. Has she had any other BMs? Are they back to normal?

@Mrsbells: IT could have been gas. She let out a huge fart and seems to be a little better. SIGH.

I was massaging and stretching baby's arms and legs and brought her legs up and she let out the biggest, longest fart...I'm hoping the gas is all it is.

This whole morning has been a frenzy of tears (me AND baby!), worry, stress, etc.

@mrbee: She's always been a drooler and I've been keeping an eye out for more of it but nothing unusual here. As long as there's no fever, I'm not going to panic. But it's hard not to!

@Andrea: Ped's office is entirely online - I sent an email and receptionist said that my doctor isn't in until tomorrow but is fully booked but that I can email in my questions but can't guarantee a response. UGH!

Sorry, I meant LO... edited to correct!

If it weren't for the feeding issues, I might check the calendar to see if your LO was going through a growth spurt. But if she's not eating, then that's probably not it.

3.5 months is a bit early, but it could be teething. Is she drooling a lot?

Didn't you have another post that your LO is having strange looking poops? So it is understandable that she is not feeling well. Can you get your peds on the phone to ask questions? Did you tell them on the phone about the poop?

@mrbee: SO or LO? Baby is 3.5 months (I feel terrible because we just spent the last 5 night night and nap training! I feel like this is my fault!)

For a fussy baby, since last night LO has been much fussier than usual. Lots of crying, cannot seem to nap (even in my arms!), isn't feeding for her usual long periods, can't make her laugh/smile and only seems to be remotely content when in my mother's arms (at her house now).

But, no fever (yet...Knock on wood).

Is this a cold? Teething? I have no idea what's happening. The earliers appointment I can get with her doctor is next week so I'm thinking of going to the walk-in clinic but if she has no fever, I feel like it's not serious (enough).

She isn't listless...Just not wanting to do much.

*tears*...
